That's right. Because Hawaii wasn't enough, we decided to hop on a plane one week later - this time to Utah. Kenna is now well acquainted with flying and is used to it. The trip out wasn't bad, though we did run into a little hitch on the way there and back. I think Jarom will never take us to the airport again --
After work on Tuesday, Jarom took us all to the airport and dropped us off. We got our tickets, waited in line to check our luggage and when we go to the front of the line we found out our flight was canceled. Could we get onto the next flight? No. Was there any conceivable way we could get to Utah that night? No. Did we want Delta to put us up in a cheap hotel with a baby? NO! So, we called Jarom (who was already at home) and he had to come back to pick us up. Meanwhile, Kenna was so tired she had a breakdown (which now involve "dead fishing" when we try to pick her up). We tried again the next morning. Jarom picked us up at 4:30 am. We got on our flight and out to Utah just fine. The plane ride home from Utah was also fine. We landed and went to get our luggage. We waited, and waited, and waited. No luggage arrived and the airport was out of loaner car seats. We found Jarom, who had come to pick us up, and he had to take me to a nearby Target to buy a car seat so we could get Kenna home, while Nate stayed at the airport with Kenna who had another breakdown. We finally made it home and our baggage did arrive. The moral of the story is that I have had enough flying for a long, long, long time. The next person who get married, has some kind of a party, vacation, or dies had better do it in Richmond, Virginia.
