In other news, Kenzie spent the majority of the week getting over a cold that was acquired from the sneezing and coughing children of tomorrow. It’s an occupational hazard. She was even nice enough to share her gift from the children with me. I am no longer a supporter of public schools. Children should be isolated for their education and any interaction should be done with masks, rubber gloves, and sanitized plastic separating everything. That is the way I feel this week at least.
We did go exploring out in Richmondland this week. I found the first thing that made me realize how excited I am for Kenzie to have our kid. I found some excellent stuffed animals that I thought would be fun to have in our kids room. We have also been on the lookout for a new kitchen table since our glass one has a big old chip in it and half of the chairs are booby traps that break as soon as anyone sits on them. We haven’t purchased anything yet, but we are getting a good idea of what we want.
Most importantly – we are proud to announce that we have our first set of friends in Richmond. Well, they are either our friends or too nice to say they don’t want to hang out with us. We went over to Jared and Carlie’s house for dinner again this week and got our butts kicked playing ticket to ride. Jared and Carlie were in our young married church in Provo and they happened to be out here going to grad school. We actually spent valentines day at their house having dinner and playing the game. It was a really good time.
I am off to Wisconsin again this week while Kenzie brings home some bacon of her own. We are getting very excited to move into our house too, with only 3 weeks to go until the move!
