She pulled herself up in her tub. She's still in the baby tub so her sister doesn't drown her with excitement in the big tub.
Callie got really quite one day while she was in her exersaucer. I went to see what was up and she had found the mirror. She spent a solid five minutes looking at herself.
She is still smiley and drooly. She's working on some teeth which I'm hoping she'll cut soon. She is getting better at eating her baby food and makes much less of a mess these days. She gets really excited to eat. Sweet potatoes are her favorite. She still loves her Kenna, who can always make her smile. The other day I went to put Callie down for a nap and Kenna asked for a hug first. I put Callie on her and Callie giggled and giggled.
First baby food. She did not love peas.
She loves tags and has a little silky square with tags around the edge that she clutches and lays over her face while she sleeps.
We are loving the Texas springtime. Kenna's latest thing is "fishing." We go up to the Quackerson's pond and she finds a really long stick and then "fishes" in the stream. She caught a leaf once which she was really excited about. She has also discovered picnics and now wants to take chips and juice with us every time we go to the pond. She's so cute I can't say no.
Helping build the garden boxes.
Kenna has discovered painting and loves it.
We planted a bit of a garden. Kenna and Nate built some garden boxes and planted carrots, strawberries and cantaloupe. Kenna is excited for them to grow and checks on them every day. We also planted a blueberry bush and some watermelon along our back fence. We'll see what happens.Kenna also wants a playhouse in the backyard and called Nate at work to ask him if he could build one. She wants it to have lots of windows and doors and a roof. He told her he could. She was so excited and she said, "Today or tomorrow? Oh, wait. On Friday, Right?" We can all agree she has daddy wrapped around her finger.
