There is nothing like a car accident to make you appreciate how smooth life is on a regular basis. Wednesday afternoon Kenzie has a wonderful afternoon swimming with Kenzie and the Hegewalds and on the way home she was rear ended by someone who was cruising along at 45 mph. She got smushed into the car in front of her like a pancake. She was pretty shaken up and Kenna was pretty startled, but both were able to walk away from the accident. Kenna got a cut on her chin from the zipper on her hoodie and Kenzie had some soreness, bruises around where the seat belt was, and her tailbone hurts pretty badly. She is still hurting a bit, but I am a lucky dude to have all three of my girls in good health after the accident.
My response time is a little slow from downtown Dallas, so luckily Lix was there to save the day. She picked Kenzie right up and took her to our OB to have the bambino ultrasounded and checked out. She was moving around and everything appeared to be ok.
Here is the car. We got a rental and everything and now are just working with insurance companies to see if this thing is toast or if they are going to fix it.
I am very thankful that God kept Kenzie, Kenna, and Kenzie+1 safe. I am a lucky guy to be constantly surrounded by so many beautiful and happy women and I am glad everyone is ok...minus Kenzie when she sits :-(
This weekend I managed to be pretty productive on Friday so that I could spend all day with Kenna on Saturday. I decided that we would take a beach trip, which in our area consists of taking all of your sand toys and going to the local sand volleyball court at the park. Kenna was not one to complain and insisted that we bring Jenna along to join in the fun. They had a great time playing in the sand and filled their buckets for hours.
We had an awesome time at Bo's birthday party on Saturday and Kenna loved seeing Jarom's bunnies in his backyard. Happy birthday Bo!
