Kristi and Batman

Two great things happened this past weekend. The first was that Kristi decided to come down and visit us in Harrisonburg! Friday night we decided to drive up to DC and meet up with Tyler and Kyle and my mom to have dinner. We had a great time hanging out with them and seeing my mom. We then made the drive back down and got to hang out with Kristi all weekend long. It was great to see her and our weekend included a great viewing of Batman. We all liked it a lot and were happy to contribute to the absurd amount of money that that movie will be making this weekend. Other than that, we just hung out and enjoyed each others company for hours on end.

This is what Kristi wanted to do at our house.....

Last week I finished my MBA class on Human Resources and started my second accounting class. I finished up all the hours for my internship and submitted my final paper for my health class I was taking as well. The gist of it is that I am going to be done school soon and I could not be happier. I just have to finish up the accounting class sometime this summer and then I have 3 classes left till I get my degree. I am very excited. Anyway, I came home from taking my HR final and Kenzie had a birthday present waiting for me. I got a new camera a bit early because we are headed out to Missouri to hang out with Kenzies family on vacation. It was a great present and I liked the surprise a lot.

Kenzie is keeping very busy working at the retirement center doing speech pathology stuff and doing an autism camp the rest of the time. She has decided that she doesnt want to work with autistic kids for her professional career.

We are doing great and having a fun time with life. We are very anxious to know where we are headed come January but that will work itself out in a couple of months.

Magically Delicious

Magically Delicious

I went to pour myself a bowl of Lucky Charms the other day and all that came out was the stupid oat part of the cereal with minimal marshmallows. I was about to write a letter to General Mills to tell them that they were shipping bad product but then the real culprit was revealed. I saw Kenzie one night with my box of lucky charms picking out the marshmallows like a squirrel. I was personally hurt. The wounds were deep. My cereal is of greatest import to me. I felt like my marriage was built on a foundation of lies.

Kenzie had her first day of work at the skilled nursing facility working with old people on Friday and so I figured I would kill two birds with one stone. I wrote a note for her first day and gave her a present when she returned. I had it laid out on the table and she was really touched when she came home and saw it. Little did she know, it was actually in my best interest that she receive the present. Now my own cereal will be full of marshmallows and she can pick them out of her two boxes. I am a genius. I can now achieve my zen when eating lucky charms and Kenzie thinks I am the best husband ever. Jokes on her.
