We took off to Utah for a long overdue week-long trip. It was awesome to spend so much time with family and we got to do some pretty fun stuff while we were out there. I will put lots of pictures in with the text so that it is a bit more interesting.
First of all, Dawnene and Caleb put together a sweet ride for Kenna to play with while she was out there. She took it outside, inside, and all around and was pretty good at driving it around/ordering Anna to push her around by the time we left.
I also introduced Kenna to Cafe Rio. She made me very proud and loved our daily "dates" to Cafe Rio. She was a bit sick of it by the end of the week because I made her go every day, but so was I.
The first weekend we were there we went to general conference with David and Dad. It was really cool to go and Kenzie and I both agreed that you pay a bit more attention to the talks and stuff when you are actually there in the conference center. It was cool to be able to see the prophet when he was talking and to see all the other apostles. Very fun.
Also, I went to priesthood session with Caleb and B-diddy. Caleb pondered a lot.
The next few days consisted of lots of games of Bang, lots of smiles, push ups on David's back, hair cuts from Kristi, trips to farms with Grandma and Grandpa, Cafe Rio, Horse rides, golf games, grilling, eating, playing outside, playing inside, and other fun stuff. Kenna really loved all of the time that she got to spend with Anna, Caleb, Brigham, Kristi, David, assorted missionaries at grandpa's house, and of course, her grandparents.
We had an awesome Easter Sunday with both families too. It started with an Easter egg hunt at the mission home. Kenna was pretty good and found all 68 eggs that the Easter Bunny had hidden away.
Two other important things happened while we were there. The first was that it snowed a few inches. I was really hoping for this because we didn't get a single bit in Texas this year. I am not sure we ever will so it is important that it snows in Utah every single time we go out there. Kenna got all bundled up in grandma's one-size-fits-all-grandbabies snowsuit and made her first snow angel. She stayed out playing in the snow longer than any of the adults and loved it.
The second important thing was that we got some family photos taken while we were out there. Don't be fooled. We look happy and it seems like it was a good photo shoot, but halfway through Kenzie tried to switch Kenna's outfit and then the wheels came off. Kenna had a bit of a tantrum and would not smile or pose. However, there were at least a few good ones before the breakdown started.
